“A growing knowledge of effective water treatment options means consumers can make better decisions about the water they drink,” WQA Executive Director Pauli Undesser is quoting saying in this post from WQPMag.com.
That quote is in reference to results from a survey conducted by the Water Quality Association of 1,710 adults (ages 18+) in the U.S. The survey results showed:
92% of respondents said they are aware of in-pitcher or end-of-tap filters (up from 84% in 2015)
84% said they were aware of water filters in refrigerators (up slightly from 83% in 2015)
36% of those who purchased a water filtration system said they were concerned about whether tap water is safe to drink (up from 27% in 2015)
25% of those who currently do not have a water filtration device in their home said they are likely to install one in the near future
