The nation had found itself in dire need of a new head of the EPA’s Office of Water. The top candidate for the position, Radhika Fox was confirmed by the Senate. In a 55-43 vote, she seemed well liked by a majority of the officials. The Chairman of the Environment and Public Works Committee had nothing but praise for Fox. He said that she would “work day and night to come up with practical solutions to our country’s serious water challenges”. She has begun her work within the EPA, and will lead the organization on all future water policies. She enters the position in a tumultuous time for water in the nation, and will work with officials nationwide to fight against PFAS contamination.
