Legislation has been re-introduced to the White House regarding PFA regulation. The first legislation was passed by the House, but not the Senate. However, two representatives have expressed that they believe the new legislation is more likely to pass the democratic senate the second time around. The legislation that is being proposed would not only set a lawful standard for the amount PFA’s present in drinking water, but would also allow a budget for water treatment and utility assistance. Water contaminated by PFA’s affects over 200 million Americans, and has been linked to many negative health conditions.
